He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther Clayton Herring, Sr. and Nettie Cameron Herring; and his wife Karen Jackson Herring. He is survived by: his sons, Scott Herring of Surf City and Chris Herring (Fayth) of Rose Hill; his grandchildren, Jonae Herring and Taylor Herring; and his sister Linda Mottley (Keith) of Virginia. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
