It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Iolita Shepard Whitley of Rose Hill, North Carolina, born in Pineville, Kentucky, who passed away on February 11, 2023, at the age of 54, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Edgar Simpson and Edith Hunter Simpson. She is survived by: her husband Richard "Scott" Whitley; her sons, Dallas Vance Shepard, III of Rocky Point and Keaton Lee Shepard; and her stepchildren, Sabrena Rae Whitley and Logan Scott Whitley (Richard Scott Whitley, II). She is also survived by three sisters, six brothers, and numerous nieces and nephews.
