He is survived by: his wife Claretta Ward Chavious of Washington; his children, Travis Ray Shawn Chavious of Smithfield and Kristy Michelle Chavious of Goldsboro; and his siblings, Lloyd Ward (Marilyn) of Wilson, Arthur Chavis Sr. of Rose Hill, Wilda Maynor, Rev. Sandra Spell, Antionette Moore and Dora Ray.
