We are sad to announce that on December 18, 2023, at the age of 90, Eva Davis McLaughlin of Rose Hill, North Carolina, born in Hamlet, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Chester Martin and Frenchie Johnson Davis; her former husband Carl Thomas Uzzell Sr.; and her siblings, Chester Davis Jr., Robert Davis and Florence Capps.
She is survived by: her husband Daniel Henry McLaughlin; her children, Karla Casteen (Wayne) of Wallace, Deborah Price (Glenn) of Wallace, Carl Thomas Uzzell Jr. (Roberta) of Bremmerton, Dr Suzanne Byrd (Joe) of Greeneville and Kelly Cook (Danny) of Mebane; her brother Kenneth K. Davis (Mary) of Clarksville; her grandchildren, Zachary Casteen, Grayson Casteen, Peyton Price, Katie Price, Christian Uzzell, Carly Culler and Grace Culler; and her niece Valorie McCoy (NC) of Pink Hill. She is also survived by 9 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wallace Presbyterian Youth fund or The Gardens of Rose Hill Assisted Living.
