He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, James C. Teachey and Rebecca Casteen Hopkins; his wife Janice Cagle Teachey; his son Bradley Teachey (Ashley) of Efland; his granddaughters, Daphne Teachey, Cora Teachey and Jasmine Gresens; his brother James Forest Teachey (Marcella) of Wilmington; his pet Jax; and his friend Bobby.
