She is survived by: her husband Franklin Cherry Sr.; her sons, Franklin "Pete" Cherry Jr. (Stephanie) of Plymouth and Anthony Wayne Cherry of Alabama; her grandchildren, Brandon Cherry of Chocowinity, Brittany Fulcher (Andrew) of Ayden and Mya Nicole Cherry of Chocowinity; her great grandchild Wynter Dawn Gomez of Chocowinity; and her brother S. J. Sexton of Jacksonville, Florida..

A memorial service was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Zion's Chapel Church of Christ (6001 NC-32, Roper, NC 27970). A reception was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
