It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shelby Jean Childress Royal Bentley (Ronda, North Carolina), who passed away on March 5, 2019, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Fred Childress and Mary Novella Owens Childress; her husbands, Robert Eugene Royal and Gaither Bentley (L. B.); her children, Vickie Dianne Linville (Dumont) of Roaring River, Nancy Joann Holbrook (Jarvis) of Roaring River, Toney Eugene Royal of Ronda, Dalmus Earl Royal of Ronda, Donnie Rayvon Royal (Christine) of Ronda and David Ronnie Royal (JoAnn) of Ronda; and her siblings, Betty Combs (Roby) of Hays, Annie Mae Dula of Boomer, Ethel Church (Colin) of North Wilkesboro, Jim Childress (Nancy) of North Wilkesboro and Johnny Childress (Diane) of Millers Creek. She was also cherished by ten grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren.
