She is survived by: her husband David Rex Carter; her sons, David Richard Carter (Brandi) of Hamptonville and Mickey Rex Carter (Lynda) of Ronda; her sister Marlene Guyer of State Road; her grandchildren, Brandon Carter, Cody Carter, Ashley Wood, Chelsea King and Colt Carter; her great grandchildren, Bentley Kings, Autumn Carter, Hazel Wood, Wynter King, Addeigh Wood, Elaina King and Camryn Wood; and her niece Amy Guyer.
A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the Elkin Funeral Service Chapel (560 North Carolina 268 W, Elkin, NC 28621).
