She was predeceased by: her parents, George Franklin Howell and Virginia Caroline Lewis Howell; her husband James Freeman Trivette; her son James Russell Trivette; her siblings, George Howell, Bill Howell, Walter Howell, Joe Howell, Lessie White, Mary Holman, Ellamae Walker and Ruby Howell; her grandson Robert Shumate; and her great grandchildren, Cassidy Stewart and Alexis Stewart.
She is survived by: her daughter Belinda Shumate; her brother John Howell of Virginia; and her grandchildren, Wanda Stewart (Jerry) of Wilkesboro, Alyssa Wilkins (Tiffany) of Elkin, Matthew Shumate of Ronda and Lillian Greer of Wilkesboro.
