She was predeceased by: her parents, Bill Mathis and Ruby Pendry Mathis; her husband Terry Wayne Key; and her sister Judy Darlene Mathis Whitaker. She is survived by: her siblings-in-law, Troy Key, Jean Jones and Wanda Anderson; and her nephew Teddy James Whitaker (Elizabeth).
A graveside service was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery (3982 Clingman Rd, Ronda, NC 28621).
