He was predeceased by: his parents, Luin Gregory and Julie Hemric Gregory; his son Scotty Lee Gregory; his great grandchild Adilynn Reynolds; and his siblings, Gaither Hemric (Marie), Buford Gregory (Lois) and Dorothy Gregory.
He is survived by: his sons, Nicky Gregory of Ronda, Jody Gregory (Tamara) of Winston-Salem and Rocky Gregory of Elkin; his stepmother Louise Gregory of Ronda; his siblings, Odell Gregory (Diane) of Greensboro, Geraldine Mitchell (Dean) of Hamptonville and Alline Coffey (Jude) of Lenoir; his grandchildren, Cassi Mathis (Cody), Chelsea Merritt (Brice), Autumn Lloyd (Grant), Macie Gregory and John Luke Gregory; and his great grandchildren, Raylan Mathis and Paisley Merritt (Laura Ruth Barber).
