He was predeceased by: his parents, Victor Mansfield and Pauline Wooten Day. He is survived by: his stepson Eddie Johnson (Amy) of Harmony; and his siblings, Janice D. Nixon (Ted) of Jonesville, Cathy D. Skinner (Raybon) of Pfafftown, Victor M. Day, Jr. of Chesapeake, VA and Melvin R. Day (Teresa) of North Wilkesboro. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
