He is survived by: his wife Amy Wyatt of Ronda; his mother Glenda Roten of North Wilkesboro; his stepfather John Roten of Millers Creek; his father Bruce Carlton (Kathy) of North Wilkesboro; and his brother Matthew Carlton (Lauren) of Ferguson.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital Foundation, for ICU, due to the exceptional care Charles and family received there, 180 Parkwood Drive, Elkin, NC 28621.
