He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. Cecil M. Hooper and Lucille Murphy Hooper; and his granddaughter Emma Faith Hooper. He is survived by: his wife Patsy Darnell Hooper; his sons, Ken Hooper (Robin) of Elkin, Joel Hooper (Leslie) of Elkin and Len Hooper; and his grandchildren, Ellie Hooper Berry (Tucker) of Austin, TX and Mary-Claire Cason (Christopher Cason, Jr.) of Elkin.
