With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Barbara Folger Chatham of Ronda, North Carolina, who passed away on December 12, 2022 at the age of 95. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Barbara Folger Chatham to pay them a last tribute.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Congressman Fred Folger, Sr. and Mary Mills Fawcett Folger; her husband Richard Thurmond Chatham, Jr.; her brother Fred Folger Jr.; and her friend Ted Barnes. She was also cherished by 15 grandchildren, and 17 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church of Elkin P.O Box 69, Elkin, NC 28621, the R.T. Chatham Garden at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital 180 Parkwood Drive, Elkin, NC 28621, or Salem College 601 South Church Street, Winston-Salem, NC 27101.
