She was predeceased by: her parents, John Andrew Hayes and Tressie Ett Tucker Hayes; her siblings, Ray Hayes, Jessie Hayes, Clyde Hayes, Florence Riner, Maxine Horton and Fay Smitherman; and her daughter-in-law Patricia Wood Hemric.
She is survived by: her husband Jerry Lee Hemric; her son Michael Wayne Hemric of State Road; her siblings, Harold Hayes (Linda) of Winston-Salem, Paul Hayes (Jane) of Pfafftown, Bernice Cunningham of Huntsville, Carrie Sue Walker (Rodney) of Ronda and Agnes Mayes (Bill) of Mountain Park; and her grandchildren, Brianna Hemric, Charity Hemric, Garrett Hemric, Faith Hemric, Hope Hemric, Caleb Hemric, Josiah Hemric and Joshua Hemric. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
