It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Onvia Nell Walker (Rolesville, North Carolina), born in Newnata, Arkansas, who passed away on December 14, 2018, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lewis Long and Mary Ellen Gertrude Long (Gower); and her siblings, Charles Long, Raymon Long, Opal Long, Edith Harris (Long), Evie Jean Avey (Long) and Gennie Lea Haney (Long).
She is survived by: her spouse Homer Edsel Walker; her daughter Debra Walker Elder; her son-in-law Chris Elder; and her granddaughters, Julie Elder of Rolesville and Lydia Elder of Rolesville. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that all memorials be made to Wake Forest Baptist Church Youth Music Ministry, 107 E. South Avenue, Wake Forest, NC 27587, 919-556-5141, a ministry in which her granddaughters actively participate.
