He was predeceased by: his mother Catherine Carey; his wife Filippa Spivey; and his stepfather Bruce. He is survived by: his sister June Smith; his children, Karen Spivey Painter (Charles), Mark Allen Gaetano Spivey, Jr. (Ashlee) and Melissa Catherine Spivey (Rafael); and his grandchildren, Houston Painter, Mark Spivey III, Ella Painter, Giuliana Spivey, Malena Garcia and Olivia Garcia.
