He is survived by: his parents, Rob Smart and Kathy Smart of Raleigh; his siblings, Bobby and Daisy; his grandparents, John Capps of Henderson, NC, Bob and Dorothy Smart of Austintown, OH; his aunts and uncles, Charlie (Beth Carroll), Johnny (Claire Capps), Curt (Julie Stanislaw) and Barry (Tricia Smart); and his cousins, Wesley Carroll, Ryan Capps, Hunter and Sydney Smart.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation - Carolina chapter in Hayden Smart's name.
