He is survived by: his son Willie Franklin Harts, Jr. (Angela); his grandson Cody Harts (Sara); his stepgrandchildren, Chance Murray and Dani Todd; and his siblings, William Linwood Harts (Linda), Nancy Harts Morris (Bruce) and Rena Cooper (Ronnie). He is also survived by many extended family and friends.
