He was predeceased by: his parents, Tommy Winston Tew and Sallie Merritt Tew; his wife Betsy C. Tew; and his daughter Patricia Ann Tew. He is survived by: his children, Robert Edward Tew (Jan), Dianne Roof (Billy), Phillip Tew (Terry) and Kimberly Jacobs (Carnell). He is also survived by nineteen grandchildren; and seventeen great grandchildren.
