Richard Thompson Obituary
We are sad to announce that on February 24, 2023, at the age of 78, Richard Thompson of Rocky Point, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Willadean Thompson and Thompson II. He is survived by: his wife Kay Thompson; his children, Christi Monroe (Scott) and Jay Thompson (Laura); his grandchildren, Alex, Blaire Monroe, Jace, Linc and Cruz Thompson; his siblings, Janis Milliken (John) and Jimmy Thompson (Lona); his sister-in-law Jean Manley; and his niece Jennifer Sumner (family: Scott, Haley, Ayden, Bryce). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and special friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research, or a charity of your choice.
