He was predeceased by: his wives, Judy C. Hayes and Janet S. Hayes. He is survived by: his sons, Lawrence P. S. and Michael A. Hayes (Barbara) of Wilmington; his siblings, Don Hayes (Margie) of Wilmington and Ann "Skippy" Johnson (John) of Knoxville, TN; his stepbrother John Gore (Carole) of Jupiter, FL.; his grandsons, Oliver Hayes of Rocky Point and Spencer Hayes of Wilmington; and his siblings, Johnny Hayes and Sylvia Badger.
