He is survived by: his wife Linda Lynn Melton; his children, Teresa Skipper (Andy Skipper), Larry Melton, Jr., Michael Melton (Shelby) and Chuck Melton (Amanda); and his siblings, Shirley Jane Lassiter, Rowena Virginia Williams and John Mark Melton. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, March 25th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Greenlawn Memorial Park (1155 Shipyard Blvd, Wilmington, NC 28412). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, March 25th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Coble Chapel (1155 Shipyard Blvd, Wilmington, NC 28412).
