It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Karen Pugh of Rocky Point, North Carolina, born in Durham, North Carolina, who passed away on August 25, 2021, at the age of 65, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas E. Singleton and Novella James Singleton Mitchell; and her sister Patricia Peake. She is survived by: her significant other Laura Powell; and her siblings, Deborah "Debbie" Jackson (Edward) and Ronnie Ross Singleton. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and dear friends.
