He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Hanson Peterson and Bertha Flemming Moss Peterson; and his significant other Annette Holmes Peterson. He is survived by: his son Michael Earl Peterson (Deborah); his grandchildren, Jackson and Bailey Peterson; his stepgranddaughter Olivia Lesine (Devin); his stepgreat-grandchildren, Peyton, Sophia and Harper Lesine; and his siblings, Dennis Eugene Peterson (Paulette) and Linda Ann Harrell (Charles).
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Hampstead Chapel (17730 Hwy 17, Hampstead, NC 28443). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the children's ministry at Scotts Hill Baptist Church, PO Box 910, Hampstead, NC 28443.
