She was predeceased by: her parents, Hiram Autin and Sallie Ward Sharpe; her husband Henry Futreal; and her sister Jeanine Schlichter. She is survived by: her children, Laree "Sissy" Hendricks (William), Hiram Lee Grier, Leon Ward Grier (Carol) and Nita Lanier (Terry); and her grandchildren, Kalyn Saunders (Justin), Joshua Tyler Hendricks, Leon Ward Grier, Jr. (Lindsay), Naomi Ruth Grier, Lisa Cook (Tom), Jennifer Leigh Galler (Roland), Terry Lanier, Jr. and Jerry.
In lieu of flowers and in memory and honor of Jerry, memorial gifts may be given to Lower Cape Fear LifeCare Foundation, 1414 Physicians Drive, Wilmington, NC 28401.
