He was predeceased by: his parents, Mateo Horta and Olga Gomez Horta. He is survived by: his wife Laura Angelica Horta; his children, Jason Horta of Rocky Point, Alison Worton of Cypress, TX and Victoria Horta of Columbia, MD.; and his sisters, Marivel Horta, Elizabeth Jett and Jacqueline Krakowski.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 14th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Jones Funeral Home of Jacksonville Friday (303 Chaney Ave, Jacksonville, NC 28540). A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery (110 Montford Landing Rd, Jacksonville, NC 28540).
