Thomas Wynne Short Sr. Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Thomas Wynne Short Sr. of Rocky Mount, North Carolina, who passed away on July 5, 2024, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Marcella McBride Short; his former wife Janice Short; his close friend Betty Melton; his brother Richard Howard Short, Jr.; and his grandson Jonathan Abernathy.

He is survived by: his children, Thomas W. Short, Jr. (Susan Hudgins-Short), Kim Clarke (Wilson Clary) and Karen Kee (Jerry Kee); his stepchildren, Troy Reickard, Tammy Jasper (Eric Jasper) and Teresa Ferguson (Clay Ferguson); his grandchildren, Thomas W. Short, III (Jennifer), Kadison Clarke (Olivia), Marcella Watson, Lauren Watson, Whitney Finley (Andrew) and Tyler Kee (Jamie); his stepgrandchildren, Taylor Smith, Amber Jackson, Tyler Ferguson and Tori Ferguson; and his great grandchildren, Kaelyn Short, Nicholas McClelland, Cohen Clarke, Mia Trujillo and Bennett Kee.
