He is survived by: his children, Ann Dill Hamrick (Alger V. Hamrick, III) of Raleigh, Harriet D. Thorpe (George W. Thorpe) of Rocky Mount, Susan D. Lee of Tarboro and Thomas G. Dill, Jr. (Ann D. Dill) of Rocky Mount; his grandchildren, Rebecca Hamrick Boone (Robert) of Winston-Salem, Ann F. Hamrick of Raleigh, Alger Vason Hamrick, IV (Grace) of Raleigh, Sarah P. Barnhill (Austin) of Raleigh, Alexander D. Lee (Erin) of Southport and Thomas G. Dill, III of Rocky Mount; and his siblings-in-law, Richard T. Fountain and Margaret F. Paylor. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Tom's name to either First Presbyterian Church of Rocky Mount, 153 N. Church Street, Rocky Mount, NC 27804, or to the United Way Tar River Region, 2501 Sunset Ave., Rocky Mount, NC 270804.
