He was predeceased by: his father Freddie Tripp; his grandparents, Linwood and Maidline Dorman; his great-aunts, Nina Belle McLawhorn and Mabel Clara McLawhorn; and his cousin Susan Dorman.
He is survived by: his wife Beverly Ann Tripp; his son Steven Craig (Amanda Tripp) of Rocky Mount, NC; his mother Frances Tripp; his sister Donna (Ronnie Crisp) of Tarboro, NC; his aunt Penny Dorman; his cousin Dave Dorman of San Jose, CA; and his pets, Otis Earl, Judy Pearl and Sam. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
