She was predeceased by: her parents, Bennie Bobbitt and Zell Williams. She is survived by: her children, Joe Thorne, Jr. of Washington, DC, Stella Thorne Rogers, JoAnne Thorne Richardson of Rocky Mount, NC and Gloria Jean Thorne Blanks of Bronx, NY. She is also survived by seventeen grandchildren, ten great-great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
