With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Melvin Joseph Cook of Rocky Mount, North Carolina, who passed away on February 17, 2025 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Alexander Cook and Esther Susan Miller Cook; his wife Simone Rose Benoit Cook; and his siblings, Louise Cook Carver, Robert N. Cook, Bruce Floyd Cook and Neal Milton Cook.
He is survived by: his sons, Dale Cook and Jeff Cook (Terri); and his grandchildren, Jackson Cook, Cole Cook, Abbygail Cook, Sean Cook and Jarrett Moss. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A reception will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services (1130 N Winstead Ave, Rocky Mount, NC 27804).
