She is survived by: her children, Myra LeAnn Melton and Gene Melton, II; her sisters, Nancy Newins and Carol Smith; her sisters-in-law, Judy Melton and Margaret Taylor (Glenn); and her friends, Della Mangum and Mildred Brown. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and loving friends.
A funeral service was held on Thursday, December 5th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home and Cremation Service (1130 N Winstead Ave, Rocky Mount, NC 27804).
