It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marvin Battle (Rocky Mount, North Carolina), born in Battleboro, North Carolina, who passed away on August 3, 2021, at the age of 65, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Battle and Mary Graham Battle; and his brothers, James Battle Jr., Roger Lee Battle "Bat" and Carl Lonnell Battle.
He is survived by: his siblings, Richard Battle, Elder Sylvester Battle (Patricia), Anthony Battle, Michael Battle and Hattie Battle Carey (Mickey) of Rocky Mount, NC.; and his close friends, Brenda Kearney and Jessie Hinton (Big Boy). He is also survived by nephews, relatives and friends.
