He was predeceased by: his parent Romell Whitley. He is survived by: his daughters, Dawn Sherrod of Nashville and Cindy Whitley of Rocky Mount; his grandchildren, Drew Sherrod, Andrea Sherrod and Damian Sanders; his great grandchild Roman Wayne Hall; and his brother Tommy Whitley.
