We are sad to announce that on January 9, 2025 we had to say goodbye to Julia Farmer Lindsey (Rocky Mount, North Carolina), born in Prince George, Virginia. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Stephen Eason, Sr. and Prudy Magnolia Peace Eason; her significant other Lawrence Washington "L. W." Farmer; her daughter Tresa Lynn Farmer; her siblings, John Stephen Eason, Jr., William Taft Eason, Esther Mae Eason and Ellen Estelle Eason Green; and her sister-in-law Catherine Garris.
She is survived by: her husband William Monroe Lindsey; her daughters, Bonnie Farmer Winstead (Todd) and Tracy Farmer Shearin (Keith); her siblings, Earnest Eason (Sharon), Mary Alice Maier, Ann Hayes, Brenda Brewer (Peaches) and Leona Pridgen; her sister-in-law Theresa Eason; her sister Annie Bartholomew; and her nieces and nephews, Aubrey Farmer (Kathy), Mike Farmer (Cathy), Susie Coggins (Don) and Bill Lindsey (Lisa). She is also survived by children that lovingly called her MeMe J; and a wealth of treasured nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Parkwood Baptist Church (1731 Hunter Hill Rd, Rocky Mount, NC 27804). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Julia's memory to Parkwood Baptist Church, 1731 Hunter Hill Road, Rocky Mount, NC 27804, to help build a new children's playground "MeMe's Angel Garden".
