It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Julia Eason Farmer-Lindsey (Rocky Mount, North Carolina), who passed away on January 9, 2025, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Stephen Eason, Sr. and Prudy Magnolia Peace Eason; her significant other Lawrence Washington "L. W." Farmer; her child Tresa Lynn Farmer; her siblings, John Stephen Eason, Jr., William Taft Eason, Esther Mae Eason and Ellen Estelle Eason Green; and her sister-in-law Catherine Garris.
She is survived by: her husband William Monroe Lindsey; her daughters, Bonnie Farmer Winstead (Todd) and Tracy Farmer Shearin (Keith); her siblings, Earnest Eason (Sharon), Mary Alice Maier, Ann Hayes, Brenda Brewer (Peaches) and Leona Pridgen; her sister-in-law Theresa Eason; her sister Annie Bartholomew; and her nieces and nephews, Aubrey Farmer (Kathy), Mike Farmer (Cathy), Susie Coggins (Don) and Bill Lindsey (Lisa). She is also survived by children that lovingly called her MeMe J; and a wealth of treasured nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Parkwood Baptist Church (1731 Hunter Hill Rd, Rocky Mount, NC 27804). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
She enjoyed organizing blood drives, charity auctions and golf tournaments to help raise money for a variety of needs in the community.
