He was predeceased by: his parents, John Gilbert and Ruby Hull Daughtridge; his brothers, Jesse Ray, Gilbert Eugene and James "Aaron" Daughtridge; his former wife Joyce Daughtridge; and his pet Sadie.
He is survived by: his wife Janet Daughtridge; his daughters, Jennifer "J. J." Vaughan (Brian) of Elm City and Marilyn Coble (Tammy Spellman) of Raleigh; his grandsons, Clay and Noah Vaughan; his stepchildren, Ted Hull of Rocky Mount and Mary Ellen Joyner of Nashville; his stepgrandchildren, Janna Hitt, Sierra, Joshua, Faith, Nathaniel Hull and Heidi Hitt; his sisters, Helen Manning (Henry) of Middlesex, Sylvia Smith of Rocky Mount and Diane Rackley of Rocky Mount; his sisters-in-law, Alice and Patricia Daughtridge; and his pet Dixie. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and other extended relatives.
