He was predeceased by: his parents, Carlton Edward and Beulah Sherrod Hodges; and his siblings, Larry Hodges, George Hodges and Sherry Hodges Clemmons.
He is survived by: his siblings, Garry Hodges (Janie) of Rocky Mount, Kathryn Drake, Betty Sanders Mercer (Steve) of Rocky Mount and Lois Hodges Moss; and also, Nashville and Rebecca Hodges Lambert of Godwin. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
