He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Jean Adkins Brown; his daughters, Melinda Brown Griffin (Pat) of Red Oak and Anita Brown Carter (Todd) of Rocky Mount; his grandchildren, Amanda Griffin Hurst (James), Corbin Arch Griffin (Nicole) and Erin McKenzie Grimes; and his great grandchild Darcy Rose Hurst.
