She was predeceased by: her parents, Jacob Peter Meahl and Henrietta Louise Schneider Cook; her son Charles Nicometi; and her sister Francis Heaton. She is survived by: her children, Darla McClaren (David), Andrew Nicometi, Thomas Nicometi (Christine), Russell Nicometi and Timothy Nicometi (Jennifer); her grandchildren, Stefanie, Laura, Chelsea, Connor, Alan, Rachel, Dylan and Ty; her great grandchildren, Cameron, Paige, Caiden, Aaliyah and Ava; and her sister Flora Walsh (Betty Young).
A funeral service was held on Sunday, March 23rd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Chapel Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Services (661 English Rd, Rocky Mount, NC 27804). Visitation was held on Sunday, March 23rd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location.
