It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ida J. Dickens of Rocky Mount, North Carolina, who passed away on April 14, 2025, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though Ida may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Ida touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 21st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the H. D. Pope Funeral Home (325 Nash St, Rocky Mount, NC 27804). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church (331 Hammond St, Rocky Mount, NC 27804). A burial was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 at 1:45 PM at the Gethsemane Cemetery (3020 E Raleigh Blvd, Rocky Mount, NC 27801).
