With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Herbert Gorham Vick (Rocky Mount, North Carolina), who passed away on November 2, 2024 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Dewey Robert Vick and Geraldine Viverette Vick; and his siblings, Benjamin Vick, David Vick, Paul Vick, Darcey Vick, Harvey Vick and Roberta Winstead.
He is survived by: his caregiver Barbara Vick; his children, Debbie Dew (Michael) and Rev. Dallas Ray Vick (Mary Ann); and his sisters, Nellie "Nub" G. Vick, Pearl Crumpler, Lois Perry (Allen) and Wavery Taylor (Allen). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home (1130 N Winstead Ave, Rocky Mount, NC 27804). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Chapel of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home (1130 N Winstead Ave, Rocky Mount, NC 27804). A burial was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the Rocky Mount Memorial Park (4454 Dortches Blvd, Rocky Mount, NC 27804).
