Hassell Quemby Sherrod Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Hassell Quemby Sherrod of Rocky Mount, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 25, 2025 at the age of 91. He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Sherrod and Betty Sherrod; and his siblings, Mary, Beulah, Curtis, Elgie, Earl, Mabel and Jerrdin.
He is survived by: his wife Rebecca Fuller Duke Sherrod; his children, Gail Sherrod Greene (Danny) of Shelby, Hassell Wayne Sherrod (Stephanie Elaine Ennis) of Sharpsburg and Samuel Carl Duke of Rocky Mount; his brothers, Wesley Sherrod (Betty) and Oscar Sherrod; his grandchildren, Kari Leigh Strickland, Chadwick Ross Davis (Laura), Keith Wayne Sherrod (Miranda), Amber Nicole Sherrod and Tegan Paine; and his great grandchildren, Trevor Wayne Sherrod, Hunter Ross Davis, Camden Max Davis and Eli Davis Strickland. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and other extended relatives.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Davis - Little Funerals (2129 Lawrence Cir, Rocky Mount, NC 27804). The military honors was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Davis-Little Funerals (2129 Lawrence Cir, Rocky Mount, NC 27804).
