He was predeceased by: his parent George Arthur Joyner; and his sister Loretta Winstead. He is survived by: his parent Ila Mae Langston Joyner; his wife Vessie Mae Joyner; his daughters, Marsha Moore (Terry), Ila Leigh Joyner and Georgia Ann Joyner; his grandchildren, Chasitty Joyner and George Aaron Joyner; his great grandchild Carter Ellis Rose; and his sisters, Delores Newcomb and Dorothy Joyner. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
