He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Russell Joyner and Daisy Cockrell Joyner; his siblings, Harold Raymond Joyner, William David Joyner, Lester Earl Joyner (Linda Boone Joyner), Nettie Mae Batchelor (John Astor Batchelor), Dorothy Marie Joyner, Virginia Ruth Crisp Brown (Roland Crisp) and Lorine Batchelor; and his brother-in-law Jack Cockrell.
He is survived by: his siblings, Jimmie Joyner and Lynette Joyner Cockrell of Rocky Mount, NC; and his siblings-in-law, Bruce Batchelor, Edith Joyner Phillips and Doris Israel Joyner. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and friends.
