She was predeceased by: her parents, Roberson Lellan Collier and Nellie Victoria McMillan Collier; her husband George Lee Southerland, Jr.; her son-in-law Terry Barber; and her siblings, Frances Bunce, Jarvis Collier, Doris Collier, Mack Collier, Joyce Collier, Jearl Collier and Gary Collier.
She is survived by: her children, Georgia Stickney (David), Pam Barber, Vickie Oakley (Robert) and George Lee Southerland III; her grandchild Collier Southerland; and her siblings, Jerry Samuel Collier (Lois), Helen Gray Collier Autry and Marjorie Ann Collier Autry. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 18th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home (1130 N Winstead Ave, Rocky Mount, NC 27804). A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 18th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Chapel of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home (1130 N Winstead Ave, Rocky Mount, NC 27804). A burial will be held on Friday, April 18th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the Rocky Mount Memorial Park (4454 Dortches Blvd, Rocky Mount, NC 27804).
