She was predeceased by: her mother Day Out; her former husband E. C. Shearin; and her grandson Jeff Jackson. She is survived by: her husband Earl Creech Shearin; her children, E. C. Shearin, Jr. (Tim), Jane Shearin Currin (Wyatt), Barbara Jill Shearin and David B. Shearin (Sherry); her grandchild Abby E. Currin; her children, Ross A. Kirby and Emily P. McCombs; her great grandchild Jennifer Jackson; her grandchildren, Sarah, Emily Creel, Connor, Riley Kirby, Charlie, Kate and Winston Harper; her sister-in-law Hodgie Shearin McGinty; and her child Fund1350 S. Winstead Ave. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, as well as their children.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services (1130 N Winstead Ave, Rocky Mount, NC 27804). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Englewood Baptist Church (1350 S Winstead Ave, Rocky Mount, NC 27803).
