It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ellen Piper Bass of Rocky Mount, North Carolina, who passed away on March 16, 2025, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Shearin and Eileen Gundacker Shearin; her husband Charles Preston Bass; and her brothers-in-law, Robert D. Smith and George Lancaster.
She is survived by: her son Billy Bass (Emily) of Rocky Mount; her granddaughters, Natalie and Bella Thompson; her daughter Heather Bass of Rocky Mount; her grandchildren, Conner Bass and Tatum Collie; her sisters, Debbie Shearin Smith of Nashville and Beth Shearin Hogan (Dave) of Lexington, SC; her sister-in-law Elizabeth Lancaster of Rocky Mount; and her friends, Ginny Cobb of Rocky Mount and Susan Wynne of Warner Robbins, GA..
